Meet the founder Orlando, Florida
Hi, I’m Jae.
Also known as Julio Rivera.
A technologist, entrepreneur, and community builder who loves turning curiosity into something real.
I started programming at eight and went on to earn bachelor’s and master’s degrees in computer science. My work has taken me from building mobile apps to founding startups and helping brands like Priceline and Equinox bring digital products to life.
I founded Liberate, a meditation app for the Black community. I raised over $400,000 in pre-seed funding from angel investors and backers including Debut Capital, Unseen Capital, and Camelback Ventures. At its peak, Liberate reached $80,000 a month in subscription revenue, and I built business partnerships with Snapchat and Blavity.
Building Liberate taught me how to turn an idea into a product, grow a business, and work with partners—and deepened my belief that technology can help people feel seen, supported, and connected. That’s the experience I bring to teaching and building alongside this community.
Originally from Connecticut and New York City, and now based in Orlando, I’m bringing that same spirit to Florida One AI: a welcoming place to explore AI, learn by doing, and meet people who are curious about what comes next.
You might be building your first AI agent, working on a business idea, making art, or simply trying to understand the tools. Bring your questions and your perspective. There’s room for both.
